This is a small sample of some of the projects I've worked on.

Please note that some of these sites have been done in collaboration with or subcontracted from other design companies. So this is not intended to indicate that I've done the entirety of the site (particularly any of the flash portions). But all of these sites have my custom coding and feature some of the advanced techniques in which I specialize.

Metroframe.com Metropolitan Picture Framing had a vision for how their customers should be able to order frames and materials from their website. The programming of the products and ordering section of their site uses Dynamic HTML and JavaScript to make a complicated order as easy as possible to select and submit. PHP and MySQL in the background makes the administration of price changes painless for the owner.

North StarThe North Star Surfaces site has custom javascript navigation, and some unique design features. (Try selecting North Star Green Products from the Products menu, and watch the interface change colors.) Also of note on the main home page is the custom javascript/flash integration. It may seem like one big flash file, but it's actually separate files, and javascript is used to dynamically load them sequencially, and also on demand when the appropriate tab is selected. This decreases the time needed for the initial loading of the file, and allows for easy expandability in adding addition sections.

Norman Lowell Gallery is the online art gallery for Norman Lowell, an artist that specializes in painting beautiful Alaska scenery. This site uses a custom dynamic gallery using JavaScript to switch between the art.

chessnuts.netChessnuts.net is an online correspondence chess site featuring...
  • a dynamic chess board that does not need to be refreshed to check for an opponents move
  • object oriented JavaScript engine that can check the legality of moves before they're ever submitted to the server
  • quick and easy viewing of move history
This site is very much still in the state of being developed, buy it is a great demonstration of the power that can be achieved via tight integration of JavaScript and Dynamic HTML on the client and PHP/MySQL on the server.
